Flawless Friday is my weekly post to share with you the flawless, sometimes funny, moments of our week. This is a way I can remember all the fab moments and events during our week and focus on the flawless. It’s a great thing to do, especially when you think you’re having a rough week, we all have them.
- My sweet son has learnt to brush hair, without ripping it from the roots. He now sits with me in the mornings or evenings and brushes my hair while we watch Cartoonito. It’s lovely, like a free head massage, almost.
We’ve had a few sleepless nights this week which have caused many meltdowns in our home. Me as well as the toddler beasts. The following days, although tiring and tough, were nowhere near as awful as I thought they’d be. I even managed to type out a blog post one morning about it, which you can read next week if you need a giggle or reassurance that we’re all roughing it some nights.
My partner. Mr Firstooth. I don’t say it enough that he’s a brilliant partner and father. He is my support system and my soul mate. He knows what I’m thinking before I say it and he can make me laugh like no-one else. Other than our children, they make me laugh so hard it hurts sometimes. I am so grateful that we met each other and built a life together. He’s my biggest supporter and it makes me so happy when he gushes about how proud he is of me. He may be the biggest fan of my blog and when I need time to type a post, he creates the time for me to do it. I’ve been doing an online course each night during the week, which happens to coincide with the kids bedtime, but he takes over and isn’t at all bitter about suffering the bedtime routine by himself. He even makes me a tea once he’s done. Don’t worry though, he certainly isn’t taken advantage of, we’re just blessed to have our small family unit.
I’ve ordered and been sent a selection of crafting accessories. Prepare for Firstooth to get crafty! I’m talking up-cycling furniture, re-purposing items and creating beautiful handmade gifts and cards. The first post will (hopefully) be ready on the 22nd of June. I will surprise you with the content, but I will tell you it’s something you’ll want to see if you have children, or if you want a cheap craft, to accessorize and personalize any room.
We attended a birthday party last weekend, the sun came out, the kids played nicely and the food was delicious! The birthday girl really enjoyed her day and we loved spending it with her.
We’re in the process of finishing our garden. A project we said we’d do last year, but didn’t. We’ve bought paint, beautiful bushes and we have the tools to get going. We just need the time. Our front door will be the first to have a makeover, photos will be on Instagram, of course.
A tiring but productive week this week. I hope you’ve all enjoyed a flawless week and have been enjoying the sunshine. Have a wonderful weekend!
