Flawless Friday 24th June (Fathers Day & A Referendum)

Flawless Friday is my weekly post to share with you the flawless, sometimes funny, moments of our week. This is a way I can remember all the fab moments and events during our week and focus on the flawless. It’s a great thing to do, especially when you think you’re having a rough week, we all have them.

Flawless Friday

  • Our little girl has been really making us laugh. She can’t pronounce her ‘c’s or ‘k’s, so instead replaces them with a ‘t’. Milk is ‘malt’, carry me is ‘tarry me’, pick me up is ‘pit me up’. I could go on, it’s really funny to listen to.

  • We had a lovely day out on Fathers day, visiting a castle and having a picnic. Oh ice creams too, of course! It wasn’t as busy as we’d expected so both of our kiddies got to play freely in the park. Although our littlest one only has eyes for the swing. Our son was also treated to a bubble gun, which made his day. It probably made his week, his smile was absolutely priceless. We even snuck in a boat ride while we were there, a really lovely day.

  • We took a trip to the beach after dinner one evening. We really don’t take advantage of our beaches for evening strolls and I hope we start to do it more often. There’s something so novel about walking along the beach at sunset. The kids love it and it really relaxes us too, I’d recommend it.

  • I completed my first craft this week. It’s an upcycling project to turn a drib-drab frame into a sweet chalkboard. If you fancy taking a look, you’ll find it here.

  • I took a walk into town, without my little babes attached and had my hair cut. A lot more off than I’d have liked, but it needed a good snip. It’s only hair too, it’ll grow back. It was worth it for the time alone, tea and biscuits and massage chair. Heaven. All while the kiddies had tons of fun with their grandparents.

  • It’s Thursday as I type this, which means it’s the day we’re all casting our votes. At least I hope everyone that can vote is voting. It’s a huge decision, I’ve just returned from filling out my ballot and I’m very excited now to hear the results.

  • We had a storm today, the sky darkened so the kids and I lit candles, switched all the lights and TV off and listened to the thunder. I really enjoyed that precious time with them.

I hope you’ve had a lovely week and have a flawless weekend! If you’re a blogger, I hope to see you tomorrow at Britmums. I’ll be the odd one wearing a sack because all the outfits I bought during the week just don’t fit properly. It may be a jeans and t-shirt kind of day, but I can’t wait!

It’s so cute when kids are at that stage where they can’t pronounce certain letters!
