Another Flawless Friday already, a way to remember our flawless and funny moments from during the week. This is a way I can remember the wonderful moments and events during our week and focus on the flawless.
This week has been fairly chilled out. For some reason we’re not in the swing of things where we’re out everyday and always have something planned. Part of it may be because my littlest isn’t sleeping very well at all and we’re all sleepy and grumpy the next day. Some afternoons I’m really struggling to keep my eyes open, but I think getting off my behind and being in the fresh air would probably help! We’ve also been really lax on meals. I usually have really regimented meal plans, it’s not for everyone, but it is for us. Until recently I’ve not planned any meals at all. This means we’ve been having enchiladas and chili almost every night of the week.
I need to get my act together.
- A flawless playdate. My friend and I still don’t really manage a full conversation as we always have one eye on the wandering children, but the kids had lots of fun and she always makes delicious lunches.
Mr F has done a few more night works and I’m still really enjoying the evenings to myself. It’s nice having him there in the day and it’s wonderful snuggling by myself with a glass of wine in the evenings. I do miss him but he’s still about on occasions.
My in-laws treated us to a delicious pub lunch this week. The one day of the week that it rained so we had to sit inside, but it was so lovely I don’t think any of us minded!
My little mister has had a couple of nights this week where I haven’t had to drag him back to bed a dozen times. He’s being such a pickle at bedtime, shouting “help” then giggling uncontrollably or getting up to peer at me through the banister. So to be able to have him settled by half 7 has been a lovely change for my evenings. On the other hand, little miss is having me up throughout the night for cuddles. Can’t win them all I guess.
Since becoming a mum, my favourite things to receive are most definitely household appliances. This week we’ve received a nifty handheld vacuum and a Tefal Cook4Me. Both are brilliant and will make a positive difference to our busy family life. Give me a vacuum over a new handbag any day. Unless maybe Christmas?
I’ve had the giggles this week. I’m not sure if I’m delirious from the lack of sleep but we’ve had so many laughs this week. I’ve really enjoyed playing with the kiddies and they’ve certainly enjoyed having Fun Mum appear throughout the week. Wednesday was my most giggly day, I have no idea why, but it’s infectious that’s for sure.
I hope you’ve had a lovely week and have a flawless weekend!
