Another Flawless Friday already, a way to remember our flawless and funny moments from during the week. This is a way I can remember the wonderful moments and events during our week and focus on the flawless. This week has been fairly relaxed and very sunny! Our little ones have been so chilled out all week too, I’m sure they’ll have their moment again soon, but until then I’m going to relish in their calmness.
- Last Saturday we had a gorgeous day out at the zoo as a foursome. I even tried my hand at vlogging and although it’s not the best quality, it melts my heart each time I watch it. The post is here is you fancy a read.
Getting family photos. It’s hard to pose with tiny ones, but we managed to snap a few lovely pictures. God bless the self timer on my camera!
Listening to our little ones talk. Sometimes they say the funniest things! My little girl says ‘yum’ instead of ‘yes’. We ask her question sometimes, just so she says this.
We had a lovely party last weekend, the only thing is that they went all out with bouncy castles and food, I have a lot to live up to at ours sons party. That was followed by a roast. It’s always flawless when I get a night off from cooking.
A couple of nights this week I went out jogging. It was so lovely to clear my head and do something productive with my evening. It also made a welcome change to the usual time spent on the computer. I wrote about my first jog here. It’s my mission to work off those flabby bits.
My friend may be setting up a blog and I’m keeping everything crossed that she does!
We had a playdate this week and I think it was the calmest one we’ve ever had. My friends little girl is one of the funniest and it was so sweet to see them all having a play. Plus I get my much needed baby fix with her adorable baby boy.
Our kids now have water pistols, which they love. The only problem is, that they’ve been squirting them through the tiny holes in the fence into our neighbours garden. They were having a BBQ one of those times. These are the same neighbours that a really embarrassed myself in front of before.
Our Doctors sending us a letter calling our son ‘Marcus’, not his name and nothing like his name, but we’ve had such a giggle about this!
Not much has happened this week but I’m feeling so content with life right now. I’m really pleased with how my blog and work life seems to be progressing and also how calm our children are. They still have their moments of whingeing but we’ve just come out of a period where it felt like they whinged from the second they pinged their eyes open in the morning. So the odd tnatrum and grizzle is much better than the devils we had living with us before! I think it’s partly due to them getting more. If only I could explain to them that’s how mummy feels a lot of the time, but I don’t resort to throwing toys because of it.
- The Frenchie Mummy is a new blog I’ve recently discovered. She writes quite candidly about motherhood and in a style that I’ve never read before. She twists everything slightly french which keeps you captivated to read more. A recent post of hers which I enjoyed was ‘Computer Says No’. It reminded me of the time I entered my password, the computer told me I’d entered the incorrect password. So I tried again. Still no luck. Then I changed my password to the password I’d just been entering. But my computer told me I wasn’t allowed the same password as before. Technology sucks sometimes. So you’ll have a laugh reading her post and I’m sure you’d be able to relate.
The lovely Amy from Mr & Mrs T Plus Three wrote a brilliant post about confidence. When I met her, she exhumed confidence, but it turns out she can be a little shy too like many of us. In her post she gives tips on how to be confident even if you have to fake it. I love the saying ‘fake it til you make it’, because whatever it is, it’ll always come true eventually. It made me think about myself. Sometimes I give off the impression that I’m confident and other times I’m very quiet and shy. I really does depend on the situation and the energy of the people around me. Although confidence isn’t something we can easily master, her tips will certainly put you on the right track.
Last but not least is Shutterflies. I’ve known about her for quite some time but for some reason I’ve never delved deep into her blog. Until recently. I’ve been blown away by her photography and it’s no secret how much I love taking pictures, this gives me something to aspire to. It was difficult to pick one particular post that I favour but I went with her ‘Home Life Project’. She captures the ordinary moments and makes them beautiful. If you love looking at gorgeous pictures please take a peek at her blog, her photography skills are brilliant.
