A recipe we’ve not had for years but have a new found love of recently, is french toast. It’s easy to cook and is a filling breakfast for a hungry family. It tastes delicious served with fruit or maple syrup, you could even please your savoury taste buds by serving it with bacon.
- 2 Eggs
4 Slices of Bread
Whisk the eggs and milk together then stir in the sugar.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan. dip one slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating the slice. Then fry for a couple of minutes on each side, until each side is golden and crisp.
Once cooked, serve straight away with your choice of side and do the same with your next slice.
You can cut each slice in half to make fitting more slices into the pan easier.
